Nippon Denko Co., Ltd. Commemorates 100th Anniversary of its Founding with Logo Mark

2024/12/19

Nippon Denko Co., Ltd. (the “Company” or “we”) will celebrate the 100th anniversary of its founding in October 2025. We have built our 100-year history with the support of our customers, shareholders, community members, and other stakeholders, for which we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

To commemorate the 100th anniversary of our founding, we have created a “100th Anniversary Logo.” This logo will be used as a symbol and will be featured on our business cards, in publications, and in public relations activities.

Since our founding, we have consistently manufactured manganese-based ferroalloys and are working to solve social issues through our five core businesses, which include the Ferroalloys, Functional Materials, Incineration Ash Recycling, Aqua Solutions, and Electric Power businesses. For the next 100 years, we will continue to support people's lives through "Materials" and the "Environment" and take on a constant quest for a better future.

Logo Mark Concept

The “100” in the logo design is represented by the symbol “∞” (infinity) and the concept colors of each business, expressing “the connection from our original Ferroalloys business to Electric Power, Functional Materials, Aqua Solutions, and Incineration Ash Recycling businesses,” and “to connect to the next 100 years.” In addition, the design of the "ANNIVERSARY" band used the corporate logo as a motif to commemorate the anniversary.

Our History

The company was established as Ogaki Denki Yakin Kogyosho Co., Ltd. (later Nippon Denki Yakin Co., Ltd.) in Ogaki, Gifu Prefecture in 1925. In 1963, Nippon Denko Co., Ltd. was formed through the merger of Nippon Denki Yakin Co., Ltd. and Toho Denka Co., Ltd. (formerly, Horomangawa Hydroelectric, founded in 1934). Nippon Denko Co., Ltd. (English name unchanged) was formed through the management merger of Chuo Denki Kogyo (founded in 1934) and Nippon Denko Co., Ltd. We will celebrate the 100th anniversary of our founding next year in 2025.
